The Charm after the Swarm

Day 23 16:00
By Dawnuss

As the housemates gathered on the sofa, Mario read a statement from Big Brother informing them of Dennis’s removal from the house.

Sylvia dissolved into tears and Jennifer screamed “Lets hope justice is served” while pointing at Mohamed. Tempers flared once again and Big Brother intervened by calling Dale to the Diary Room and ordered him to remain calm.

Jennifer slammed Darnell stating that he should also be removed from the house due to his aggressive behaviour. “You cannot compare my behaviour with Dennis’s” he answered.

Why was Jennifer so distraught about her smudged painting?

Rex apologized profusely, yet she continued to wail and moan.

“Would you do that to a Monet?” she bawled.

Jennifers’ breakdown sparked the whole evenings events - had she accepted that Rex was sorry, the two dashing heroes Stu & Dale would not have to fight for her honour and rescue the “damsel in distress” - insisting Rex apologize again when he had already done so.

Dale’s anger may have been misplaced. Earlier that evening Jennifer explained that they could be no more than friends

Why did she choose that particular time to tell him?

Was it to make way for Stuart – who she revealed had all the attributes she liked - tall, muscular, facial hair & eyelashes. The fact he also has a child means they have much in common.

Rex seemed to think there was more to her tears than upset over her artwork, stating it was Dale & Stuarts attention that was unnerving her. He kept his cool throughout which is commendable.

After the storm Big Brother called each member of the house to the Diary Room to express their feelings, to realize how their intervention may have aggravated the situation and to reflect on their behaviour/actions.

Mohamed approached several housemates to clear the air, draw a line under it and move on. Most came to the conclusion they would think twice before getting involved. Lets see if they stick to their words.
